We 6 different low-income apartment communities here in Amarillo. That means we're reaching over 100 different kids each and every week. It means we're meeting more needs of struggling families than even before. We have the opportunity to begin working in at least one additional apartment community next year. And more may be on the horizon if funding allows.

Each new apartment community means more supplies needed for weekly activities. As we meet new families in need, it means more resources are needed to help struggling families with things like groceries and bills. It means more Christmas presents and more school supplies. It also means increased payroll for Mission 2540 as we hire a part-time weekly coordinator for each new property.

All told, one new apartment community adds at a minimum $10,000 to our operating costs.

We know where we're headed. And we want to be ready to move as soon as doors open up in new places. Will you help us get a head start on 2017 as we work to get the funding in place for an entire year on a new property before next year even begins?
